Residents to benefit from a larger service area for new on-demand electric minibus service, DigiGo.

Following feedback from passengers and local residents, DigiGo has expanded its service area.
The changes came into effect Thursday, the 22nd of September 2022.

Councillors visit latest solar installation

Installation at Hadleigh Country Park is part of a long-standing Essex County Council project to install solar panels across the county.

Councillors from Essex County Council and Castle Point Borough Council visited Hadleigh Country Park where solar panels have recently been installed.

Essex County Council (ECC) councillors Peter Schwier, Graham Butland and Mark Durham were joined by Castle Point Borough Council councillors Jillian Reeves, Jacqui Thornton and Andy Thornton during the visit.

Primary School ‘Climate Crew Clubs’ awarded Essex Climate Action Challenge Fund grant

Funding will be used to help inspire young climate activists by running free workshops at primary schools in Essex.

Communities and environmental charity Groundwork East has been awarded an Essex Climate Action Challenge Fund grant of £19,506 by Essex County Council with the support of the Essex Climate Action Commission (ECAC).

The grant funding will help inspire young climate activists by running ‘Climate Crew Clubs’ for 7 to 11-year-olds at nine primary schools and one home-school cohort in Essex.
