The Early Years Climate Pack is a collection of key guidance, tips, and information to help Early Years and Childcare setting to cut carbon, reduce their impact on the environment, raise awareness and help improve long-term sustainability across Essex.

Essex County Council has also created an Early Years Climate Action Checklist. This checklist is intended to inspire thoughtful ideas and actions for the development of an effective climate action pack. It was created using the Early Years Advice Pack and is designed to help early years providers take action to reduce their carbon footprint and mitigate our collective impact on the environment.

The government has announced all education settings are expected to have appointed a sustainability lead and developed a climate action plan.
